American Folk is a new-timey string band hailing out of Southeastern Wisconsin, established in 2006. Their hard driving acoustic music has been called, bluegrass, folk, and alt-country. Along with catchy original songs, the band performs many great covers. Composed of Mike Kessler, Adam Lantz, TJ Leveque, Jim Moses, Shawn Drake, and Eric Nelson, the band has released two studio albums and several live recordings to date.
