Aldo Monges was an Argentinian singer-songwriter born on January 17th 1942 in the province of Cordoba, releasing folk records through the 1970s into the 1980s and seeing major international success including a handful of awards. At the age of 7 he began playing the guitar, and at 12 he had begun writing his own songs. He moved to Buenos Aires as a young man, and attempted to make a living as a singer-songwriter, before making connections in the music scene and getting the chance to begin recording full records.
