As early as 2008, during the financial crisis, composers Charles George Isreal Scott III and Mark Thomas Sorrentino II who are collectively known by the alias 663, have been collaborating on experimental works involving unconventional uses of various electronic instruments such as drum machines, electronic keyboards, compact disc turntables and so on; producing inaccessible noise music with little to no traditional song structure or melodic foundation.
